Fitting Out The Inside Stage One

keitholiver0

I have made a start on fitting out the inside, I started with filleting all the joints where the stringers meet the side planks and inside all the bunks. I also gave all the wood one or two coats of epoxy.

I added the framing to the bunk areas as well – it's 22x22mm doug fir that I cut down from what I had left over from the stringers.

I painted the inside of the lockers, I gave them two coats but in places they could probably do with three coats.

I then bonded on the bunk tops and made a jig for the router to cut out some hinges for the locker tops.

I fitted all the framing in the cockpit area and also gave everything two coats of paint again.

I bonded on the backing plates for the shroud chainplates and also fitted some backing plates for the stern cleats, and some additional dough fir that will take the running backstay chainplates.
