I made a plug for the skeg mould using some insulation I had lying around.
I then covered it with packing tape and mould release so it would come out of the mould. It was then covered in two layers of Fiberglass matt. When it was set I removed the plug and was left with a mould.
A friend (thanks Dom) welded the M10 bolts to a length of threaded rod that will be set into the skeg and used to bolt it onto the boat.
I then set the threaded rod and M10 bolts into mould. I filled the mould with Epoxy and small pieces of fiberglass matt. It took a lot of Epoxy to fill the mould and started to get very hot with the exothermic reaction.
I mixed up some thickened Epoxy and bonded the skeg onto the boat, I also added some fiberglass matting on both sides for extra strength.
Finally it was covered in filler and then faired and covered in two coats of Epoxy primer.
